Buying Off-Plan
Firstly, a deposit is required, then two or three stage payments are made as the building process reaches various stages of completion.
For Example:
- Deposit of 10%
- First stage payment, on completion of foundations, base, and ferro-concrete framework.
- Second stage payment, on completion of stonework, windows and roof.
- Third stage payment, on final completion.

Legal requirements
It is necessary to appoint a lawyer to conduct the conveyancing of the sale, to transfer deeds of ownership, and to conduct the usual paperwork involved in buying and selling property.
Some aspects of conveyancing, such as the drawing-up of title deeds, witnessing of signatures etc, must be performed by a public notary who also ensures proper state taxes are paid on completion.
